On this excursion to the cenotes of Homún and Eknakán, we'll admire the neo-Gothic Church of San José and then head to these natural pools for a refreshing dip.

Homún & Eknakán Cenotes Excursion

At the indicated time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mérida and drive to the community of Eknakán. On the way there, we'll make a stop for breakfast.

Upon arrival in Eknakán, we'll first visit the Church of San José, constructed in the early 20th century in neo-Gothic style. Afterward, we will explore the town to check out its food stalls and buildings modernized by local landowners.

Next, we'll travel to Homún, known for its spectacular cenotes. We'll explore various types of cenotes: closed, semi-open, and open-air. You'll learn about their historical significance and their relationship with the Maya civilization.

After the historical tour, you'll have free time to swim in the cenotes and enjoy their crystalline waters. Following the cenote visit, we will go to a restaurant for lunch. Finally, we will return to Mérida, arriving around 10 hours after pickup.
