On this excursion to the cenotes of Homún and Eknakán, we will visit several attractions, including the neo-Gothic Church of San José and natural pools for swimming.

Homún & Eknakán Cenotes Excursion

At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Mérida and drive to Eknakán. A stop will be made for breakfast on your own if desired.

Upon arrival in Eknakán, our first stop will be the Church of San José, built in the early 20th century in neo-Gothic style. We will then explore the town, observing food stalls and buildings updated by local landowners.

Next, we will head to Homún, a region in the Yucatán peninsula known for its cenotes. We will visit various types of cenotes: closed, semi-open, and open-air. You will learn about their significance and historical context related to the Maya civilization.

After the historical overview, you will have free time to swim in the cenotes and enjoy their crystalline waters. Following this, we will go to a restaurant for lunch on your own before returning to Mérida, estimated to arrive around 10 hours after pickup.
