At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Montejo Museum-House to begin our free tour of Mérida. Are you ready to discover the charms of the capital of Yucatán?
Next to the Montejo House, we'll explore this 16th-century construction, recognized as a Historical Monument. There, we will learn about the history of the Montejo family.
We'll continue our visit in Plaza Grande Square, viewing the façade of the Yucatán Cathedral, dedicated to San Idelfonso. This site reflects the Spanish heritage of the city.
Next, we'll stop at the Government Palace of the State of Yucatán, built in an eclectic classical style. Nearby is the Gran Hotel de Mérida, known for its significance.
After that, we'll visit the Parque de la Madre, a monument dedicated to motherhood, followed by the José Peón Contreras Theatre, where you will learn about this notable Mexican figure. The tour will then proceed to Parque de Santa Lucía Square, featuring 2 giant white benches.
