On this tour from Merida, we'll visit the archeological complex of Uxmal to discover the pre-colonization culture in this region. We'll also learn the history of cocoa at the Choco-Story Museum.

Uxmal & Choco-Story Museum Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Merida and drive south to Uxmal, one of the main Mayan archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Upon arrival at this World Heritage Site, we'll start our guided tour of the monumental complex, focusing on the Pyramid of the Soothsayer. We will also visit significant structures such as the Quadrangle of the Nuns, the Governor's Palace, and the ancient ball game field, exploring aspects of this pre-Columbian sport.

The tour then proceeds to the Choco-Story Museum, featuring an interactive exhibition on the history of cocoa and its various products. The museum consists of six rooms designed like traditional Mayan houses, where we will learn interesting facts about chocolate.

Following the museum visit, we will have lunch at a restaurant in the Uxmal area, enjoying a traditional Yucatecan dish from various options available.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Merida, with arrival expected at 5 pm.
