Uxmal & Choco-Story Museum Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Merida and drive south to Uxmal, one of the main Mayan archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Upon arrival at the archaeological complex, declared a World Heritage Site, we'll start our guided tour. A major highlight is the Pyramid of the Soothsayer, whose significance will be explained during the tour.
The tour continues with visits to important vestiges such as the Quadrangle of the Nuns and the Governor's Palace. We'll also explore the ancient ball game field to learn about this pre-Columbian sport.
After Uxmal, the tour proceeds to the Choco-Story Museum. Its interactive exhibition covers the history of cocoa and various chocolate products. The museum features six rooms designed like traditional Mayan houses, where we'll discover chocolate-related facts.
Following the museum visit, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant in the Uxmal area, offering a traditional Yucatecan dish with several options available.
Lastly, we'll return to your hotel in Merida, arriving at 5 pm.
