Sierras de Comechingones Trip

At 7:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Villa de Merlo and drive to the outskirts of the city, where the Mogote Bayo Provincial Natural Reserve is located. We will stop at the sun viewpoint for panoramic views of the area.

Next, we will head to the Sierras de Comechingones, a mountain range between the provinces of San Luis and Córdoba. As we travel, we will explore the fauna and flora of this biodiverse area.

We will ascend to 7500 feet above sea level for views of the Conlara Valley. We will also discuss the Argentinean ethnic groups of the Hinia and Kamîare, known as "comechingones," who lived in this region until the 16th century.

We will then continue with a short trek along one of the main trails to understand the geology of the area, characterized by enormous valleys and watercourses.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Villa de Merlo, arriving at 11:30 am.
