Enjoy a day filled with nature and history on this excursion to Etna and Taormina.

Etna and Taormina Tour

We'll depart from Messina on an air-conditioned bus to Etna, located 1.5 hours away. This site features the largest active volcano in Europe at 3,000 meters tall. We will visit the Sapienza refuge, discussing the most recent eruptions of the Etna Volcano and exploring the main craters formed in the 1892 eruption. You may also opt to ascend to 2,500 meters via a cable car from the refuge for an additional cost of €30.

Next, we will travel to Taormina, about 70 kilometers from Etna. In this historic city, we will walk down Umberto street with a guide who will share the history of Taormina, including its main churches and monuments. Recommendations for local restaurants and ice cream shops will be provided.

Finally, we will return to Messina, arriving back at the original meeting point.
