Savoca and Taormina Day Trip
After meeting at the Messina port, we will board a bus to Savoca, a medieval city at 300 metres above sea level. During the journey, we will discuss its significance to the film industry, particularly to The Godfather, filmed here in 1972. We will explore its cobbled streets, visit the St. Nicolas church, and stop by the iconic bar Vitelli.
Following our visit to Savoca, we will proceed to Taormina, known for its stunning sea views and the Etna volcano in the background. We will tour the Greek and Roman theatre and Corso Umberto, the town's main attractions. You will then have free time to explore street stalls and the vibrant atmosphere, with opportunities to enjoy local Sicilian cuisine (not included).
