Savoca and Taormina Day Trip
Meet at the Messina port and board the bus to Savoca, a medieval city situated 300 metres above sea level. During the one-hour journey, learn about Savoca's role in film history, particularly in Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 film The Godfather. Explore the cobbled streets, visit the St. Nicolas church where Michael and Apollonia's wedding took place, and stop by the iconic bar Vitelli.
After exploring Savoca, continue to Taormina, known for its stunning sea views and the backdrop of the Etna volcano. Visit the Greek and Roman theatre ruins, as well as Corso Umberto, the main attractions. Enjoy free time to explore street stalls and savor Sicilian cuisine in local restaurants (cost not included).
