Savoca and Taormina Day Trip

After meeting at the Messina port, we will board a bus to Savoca, a medieval city at 300 meters above sea level. The hour-long journey includes insights into its significance to the film industry, particularly as the filming location for scenes in The Godfather, directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1972. While exploring, we will visit the St. Nicolas church and the iconic bar Vitelli.

Next, we will head to Taormina, featuring remarkable sea views with the Etna volcano in the backdrop. We will visit the Greek and Roman theatre and Corso Umberto, the town's primary attractions. Participants will then enjoy free time to explore street stalls and experience the local Sicilian cuisine at nearby restaurants (not included).
