Fall in love with the medieval charm of the Corleone family's home city of Savoca, as you explore its historic streets. And you'll also visit the Roman ruins in Taormina. A complete experience!

Savoca and Taormina Day Trip

After meeting at the Messina port, we'll board the bus to Savoca, a medieval city at 300 metres above sea level. During the hour-long journey, we'll discuss the significance of this location to the film industry.

In 1972, director Francis Ford Coppola chose this city for several scenes in his film: The Godfather. As we explore its cobbled streets, we'll visit the St. Nicolas church where Michael and Apollonia celebrated their wedding, and stop by the iconic bar Vitelli.

Leaving Savoca, we'll proceed to Taormina, which offers stunning sea views with the Etna volcano in the background. We'll visit the Greek and Roman theatre and Corso Umberto, the town's prime attractions.

You will have free time to explore the street stalls and experience the lively atmosphere of one of Sicily's most beautiful towns. This is an opportunity to enjoy Sicilian cuisine at nearby restaurants (not included).
