Fall in love with the medieval charm of the Corleone family's home city of Savoca, as you explore its historic streets. And you'll also visit the Roman ruins in Taormina. A complete experience!

Savoca and Taormina Day Trip

Meeting at Messina port, we will take a bus to Savoca, a medieval city at 300 metres above sea level. During the hour-long journey, we will discuss the significance of this location in film history, particularly its role in The Godfather directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1972. As we walk its cobbled streets, we will see the St. Nicolas church and the iconic bar Vitelli.

After visiting Savoca, we will proceed to Taormina, known for its breathtaking sea views and the Etna volcano. We will explore the ruins of the Greek and Roman theatre and Corso Umberto, among the town's main attractions. You will then have free time to enjoy street stalls and the atmosphere of this beautiful Sicilian town, as well as the local cuisine in nearby restaurants (not included).
