Segway Tour of Messina

Join a segway tour around Messina starting at the Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani Church. Our route includes via Castello a mare, leading to Piazza Cairoli, a commercial area. We will continue to Piazza Pugliatti to view the courthouse and the university.

Next, we'll stop at Piazza Duomo, home to notable monuments like the Orion fountain and the Cathedral with its astronomical clock, which features moving bronze statues. We will explore baroque fountains and neoclassical churches en route to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III, then ascend to the Church of Montalto for impressive panoramic views of the city.

On our return, we’ll pass by the medieval Church of St. Francis of Assisi and the baroque Palace of Monte di Pietà, which was affected by the 1908 earthquake. We will then head to Piazza Unità d'Italia, where the Government Palace and the Neptune fountain by Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli are located.

The tour concludes at Piazza Municipio, where we will see the statue of Ferdinand of Bourbon and the Vittorio Emanuele II theatre. We will finish near the monument to Don John of Austria on Via Lepanto, wrapping up this three-hour tour.
