We'll meet at the Messina port and board a bus that takes us to Castelmola, a picturesque medieval village located one thousand seven hundred metres above sea level. From the panoramic viewpoint, you can enjoy incredible views of Mount Etna, the tallest volcano in Europe, and the stunning Giardini-Naxos bay.

Afterward, we'll explore the most significant streets and sites of Castelmola until we reach Taormina. We will discover Corso Umberto, the central street of the city, where you can admire "Valeria," the ancient Roman road.

This historic city presents unbeatable views of the sea with Mount Etna in the background. In Taormina, we'll visit churches, ancient monuments, and enjoy some shopping at exclusive shops, as well as local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops where you can try various delicacies (not included).

Taormina and Castelmola Day Trip + Greek Theatre

Enhance your itinerary with a guided tour of the Taormina Greek Theatre, built in the 3rd century A.D. This option gives you the chance to visit this ancient treasure, known as the second-largest classical theatre in Sicily.

Taormina and Castelmola Day Trip + Lunch

Select this option to enjoy an Italian-style lunch featuring delicious Sicilian recipes at a local restaurant.

Shore Excursion

This day trip is available as a shore excursion for cruise passengers. If this applies to you, please indicate the name of your boat when making a reservation. We will be waiting for you in the disembarkment area half an hour after the ship is scheduled to arrive.

Important Information

From the 17th of November to the 31st of March, this tour will proceed only if there is a minimum of 8 participants. If not, alternative options will be provided.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will embark on a full-day trip starting from Messina port. The journey takes you first to Castelmola, where you will enjoy panoramic views before exploring its charming streets. From Castelmola, we will continue to Taormina to visit significant cultural sites and enjoy leisure time in the city.
