Enjoy a day immersed in the Wine region around Etna, the stunning volcanic area of Sicily. You'll admire the tallest volcano in Europe, explore the picturesque town of Taormina and try wine at a local winery. Delight your tastebuds!

Taormina Day Trip + Winery Tour

The tour will depart from the Messina port, with approximately an hour's drive to Taormina, located on the east coast of Sicily.

Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we'll embark on a guided tour of Taormina, learning about its history while visiting its ancient churches and monuments. The tour includes a stroll down the main street, Corso Umberto, and through Piazza IX Aprile.

Next, we’ll head to Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano, at 3,300 metres tall. Here, we will learn about the climate and soil suitable for vine cultivation and visit a local winery.

We will tour the winery and learn about the production of local wines, followed by a tasting of red, white, and rosé wines, accompanied by local delicacies such as salami, olives, local cheeses, and Sicilian-style pasta.

At the end of the day, we will return to Messina.

Cruises

This excursion is available for cruise passengers. When making your reservation, indicate the name of your boat. We will be waiting in the disembarkation area half an hour after the cruise ship's scheduled docking time.

Minimum Participants

From the 17th of November to the 31st of March, the tour will only take place if there are at least 8 participants. If not, alternative options will be offered.
