At the time of booking, you can choose from the following options. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off from Kalambaka or Kastraki, an informative audio guide available in multiple languages, and transport to the Meteora monasteries. Check out the details of each option below.
Half-Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kalambaka or Kastraki at the indicated time for an exciting tour of Meteora. Our local tour assistant will provide insights into the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit all 6 monasteries and have the opportunity to enter three for a closer understanding of the community and surroundings. The total duration is 4 hours.
Half-Day Trip at Sunset
This option explores Meteora under the last rays of sunlight. We will visit either the Agios Stefanos or Saint Nicholas monasteries, followed by the Byzantine Church of the Virgin Mary in Kalabaka. Additionally, we will explore the Hermetic Caves of Badova to learn about early Christian hermits' lifestyles. The tour concludes at a cliff's edge for a remarkable sunset over Meteora. The tour lasts 4 hours.
