Meteora Hiking Trip

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning to begin your trip to Meteora, noted for its stunning landscapes.

After a 20-minute minibus journey, the hiking experience will commence. Spend four hours hiking 5 miles (8 km) in the mountains where monks historically built their monasteries, led by an English speaking guide. The hike follows the same paths taken by these monks.

Participants will explore the ruins of ancient monasteries and visit one active monastery: either the Grand Meteora Monastery or the Varlaam Monastery (entry not included), depending on the day. Information about the monastery will be provided, though the tour of the monastery itself is unguided.

This day focuses on nature, exercise, and discovering one of Greece's great treasures, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.

After completing the route around Meteora, you will return to the minibus for the journey back to your hotel.
