Explore the incredible rock formations of Meteora and its monasteries, with a hiking route that reveals hidden gems while keeping you fit!

Meteora Hiking Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning for a trip to Meteora, where art and nature combine to create a stunning landscape. After a 20-minute minibus journey, we'll begin a four-hour hike in the mountains, in the area where monks built their monasteries. Accompanied by an English speaking guide, we'll hike 5 miles (8 km) along trails used by the monks to reach the heart of Meteora.

During our hike, we'll discover the ruins of monasteries affected by time and visit one active monastery, either the Grand Meteora Monastery or the Varlaam Monastery (entry not included), depending on the tour day. Relevant information about the monastery will be provided, although the tour itself is unguided.

This day combines nature, exercise, and the experience of one of Greece's greatest treasures, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. After completing the hike, we'll return to the minibus for your transfer back to your hotel.
