Meteora Hiking Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning for a journey to Meteora, where art and nature create one of Greece's most stunning landscapes. After a 20-minute minibus ride, we'll engage in a four-hour hike in the mountains, following a path chosen by monks who built their monasteries there. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, we'll hike 5 miles (8 km) on the same trails as these pioneers.

We will explore the ruins of historical monasteries and visit the interior of one active monastery: either the Grand Meteora Monastery or the Varlaam Monastery (entry not included), depending on the day's tour schedule. Relevant information about the monastery will be provided, but the visit is unguided.

This adventure promotes engagement with nature while uncovering one of Greece's finest treasures, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. After completing the route around Meteora, we will return to the minibus for your journey back to the hotel.
