At the indicated time, we'll meet at 1600 SW 8th Street in Miami to start a walking tour of Little Havana. Explore this hub of Cuban culture.
We'll first visit the Bay of Pigs Monument to learn about the 1,300 soldiers who died in 1963 while attempting to free Cuba from dictatorial rule.
Next, we'll walk to the Ball & Chain bar, established in the 1930s. This historic club is well-known for hosting music events and having some of the freshest mojitos.
Then, we’ll head to the Cubaocho Museum & Performing Arts Center, which showcases Cuban art and has one of the largest collections of rum in Florida.
We will enjoy authentic Cuban coffee paired with a traditional pastelito, and sample guarapo, a drink made from sugarcane juice.
Continuing, we'll visit a Cuban cigar shop to learn about the cigar-making process. Afterward, we’ll go to Domino Park, a popular spot for locals to play dominoes.
Lastly, we'll pass the Tower Theater, one of Miami's oldest cultural landmarks, and discuss its historical significance before returning to the starting point after 2 hours.
