Reasons to Explore the Miami Museum of Science

Formally known as the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science, this site stands out as one of Florida's premier interactive venues.

Located within Maurice A. Ferré Park alongside the serene Biscayne Bay, the museum features a complex of four distinct buildings, each designed to unveil the workings of our world: the Aquarium, the Frost Planetarium, the North Wing, and the West Wing.

The exhibits spread across the North Wing and West Wing span six floors, offering insights into the biodiversity of the Everglades ecosystems. Here, visitors can explore the advancements in aerospace science and engage with an array of intriguing facts available through various interactive exhibitions.

Within the Frost Planetarium, designed to accommodate 250 guests, you’ll experience extraordinary 3D shows with immersive surround sound. The planetarium features compelling projections that take you on an exhilarating voyage through space, immerse you in a colorful coral reef, or lead you on a thrilling exploration of a DNA strand!

The Aquarium comprises three levels. The top level, known as The Vista, focuses on the ecosystems found in Southern Florida and the Gulf Stream. Here, expect to see awe-inspiring marine life like devil rays and hammerhead sharks! On the second level, The Dive, discover various species that inhabit the depths of underwater ecosystems.

The bottom level, named The Deep, showcases jellyfish and other marine creatures that thrive in the profound waters of the Gulf Stream, revealing the remarkable biodiversity of this essential current.
