Tour Options
At the time of booking, you can choose between two different tour options. Both include pickup at the Atabey Hotel in Miches, roundtrip transportation, a guided hike through the Dominican jungle, and lunch by the waterfall.
Below, you can see the details of each tour:
La Jalda Waterfall Day Trip (9 hours)
Pickup will occur at the Atabey Hotel in Miches, followed by travel to the community of La Loma. After a 2-hour hike through lush forests, guests will reach Salto de La Jalda, a waterfall over 120 meters (400 feet) high, where swimming is available. A picnic lunch by the waterfall will be provided, along with options for traditional homemade fruit wine, water, or a soft drink, accompanied by chocolate and cookies. The return journey to the hotel will conclude the 9-hour tour.
La Jalda Waterfall + Montaña Redonda Day Trip (10.5 hours)
This option follows the same itinerary to La Loma, but concludes with a visit to Montaña Redonda for sunset views and time for photos on the iconic swings and hammocks. After an hour at Montaña Redonda, the return to Miches will take approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes in total.
