Guided Tour of Mexico City
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the flagpole at the main entrance of the National Anthropological Museum, located in the Chapultepec Forest, the largest park in the city. We'll visit the largest museum on the continent to learn about the pre-Hispanic origins of Mexico, including the famous Sun Stone, known as the Aztec calendar.
Next, we'll use public transportation to reach the historic center of Mexico City, exploring the blend of indigenous and Spanish culture in its streets and buildings.
We'll walk through Alameda Park, the oldest urban park in the Americas, and visit iconic structures such as the Palace of Fine Arts, the Palacio de Correos, the Palace of Iturbide, and Casa de los Azulejos (House of Tiles).
Then, we'll proceed to the Templo Mayor Museum, where we will explore pre-Hispanic and colonial Mexico, including archaeological remains like the monoliths of Coyolxauhtli and Tlaltecuhtli and the Huey Tzompantli altar.
The tour will conclude around the Plaza de la Constitución after approximately 4.5 hours.
