Day Trip to Lugano + Bellinzona

Join us as we venture past the border of Italy to Switzerland and visit Lugano and Bellinzona, two towns in the canton of Ticino!

Itinerary

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the designated meeting point to begin the day filled with scenic landscapes.

We will leave northern Italy and cross the border into the territory of Ticino, the southernmost canton of Switzerland. Our first stop will be at the Alprose factory to observe the chocolate-making process.

Next, we will arrive in Lugano, where you will have two hours of free time to explore the shores of Lugano Lake, sample local cuisine, visit the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, or shop in the historic center.

In the afternoon, we will gather in Lugano and continue our trip to Bellinzona. Here, we will view the Castles of Castelgrande and Montebello.

You will have one more hour of free time in Bellinzona to explore its medieval old town, shop, or enjoy a drink.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point after approximately 13 hours.
