Our tour will begin at the designated meeting point, Duomo Square 4, in front of the 12OZ Coffee Joint. We will proceed towards the Duomo, a renowned example of Milanese architecture.
The Duomo Cathedral is the 4th largest cathedral in Europe, alongside notable cathedrals such as those in Seville and St. Peter's Basilica. Construction commenced in 1386 and was officially completed in 1965, although discussions about its final completion continue, particularly regarding an outstanding bell tower.
As we explore the cathedral's naves, we will dive into the history of this celebrated church and its significance within Milan and Italy. The interior features intricate artworks, rich architecture, and numerous statues and stained-glass windows, each portraying a vital chapter in the cultural history of northern Italy.
