Stromboli & Panarea Excursion

Visit the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands & two of its most famous islands on this tour of Stromboli & Panarea. You'll enjoy the tranquility of their fishing villages and witness a magical spectacle of nature: see a volcano erupting!

Description

At the appointed time we'll meet on Via Ammiraglio Luigi Rizzo. From here, we'll go to the pier and board a boat that'll take us to the island of Panarea.

Cruising across the Tyrrhenian Sea, we'll make our way to this island, the second smallest of the Aeolian archipelago. As we get closer, you'll see one of its emblematic beaches, Cala Junco, where remains of an ancient settlement dati ng back to the 14th century BC are located.

We'll disembark at the fishing port and provide you with two and a half hours of free time to explore and enjoy local gastronomy. Afterward, we'll head north towards Stromboli, admiring views of the island's great volcano and surrounding islets.

Once in Stromboli, you will have another two hours free to explore the village, stroll through its streets, and visit its churches. A viewpoint at Piazza San Vincenzo provides unique views of Stromboli and Strombolicchio.

We'll conclude with a return trip, stopping for about 40 minutes at sea to observe the active eruption of the Stromboli volcano, a remarkable sight at nightfall. We'll end the tour back at the port of Milazzo after about 10 hours of sightseeing.

Important

Due to increased volcanic activity on Stromboli, Civil Protection has suspended all land visits to the island. Admiring the island and its volcanic phenomena from the boat at a safe distance is permitted, without disembarking.
