Visit the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands & two of its most famous islands on this day trip to Stromboli and Panarea. You'll enjoy the tranquility of their fishing villages and witness a volcano erupting!

Day Trip Details

At the appointed time, we'll meet on Via Ammiraglio Luigi Rizzo. From here, we'll go to the pier and board a boat to the island of Panarea.

Cruising across the Tyrrhenian Sea, we'll head to this island, the second smallest of the Aeolian archipelago. As we approach, you'll see one of its emblematic beaches, Cala Junco, where the remains of an ancient settlement date back to the 14th century BC.

We'll disembark at the fishing port and provide you with 2.5 hours of free time to explore and enjoy local gastronomy. Then, we'll return to the boat and proceed north towards Stromboli, admiring views of the island's great volcano and islets like Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, and Bottaro.

In Stromboli, you'll have another 2 hours free to visit the village, stroll through its streets, and check out its churches and chapels. At Piazza San Vincenzo, there's a viewpoint with a unique view of Stromboli and the nearby islet of Strombolicchio.

We'll return to the boat and start the return trip, stopping for about 40 minutes to view the active eruption of the Stromboli volcano. This sight is remarkable at nightfall!

We'll conclude the trip with our arrival back at the port of Milazzo after about 10 hours of sightseeing.

Important Info

If Stromboli is in a red zone due to a volcanic activity alert, and it is forbidden to disembark, we'll adapt the day trip for safety. In this case, we'll have a longer stop at Panarea and then sail to Stromboli for a panoramic tour from the sea.
