Ossena Waterfall Hike

Meet at Casa Emanuel to begin the hiking route through the Ossena Waterfall and experience aqua trekking.

The route starts just 4 kilometers (2.4 miles) from Militello in Val di Catania, where we will walk along the channel. During aqua trekking, we will cross the river and walk about 50 meters (164 feet) to reach the Ossena Waterfalls.

The hiking activity will last between 3 and 4 hours, providing opportunities to admire the natural beauty of the Ossena River. The trek showcases the contrasting colors of the crystalline blue waters against the black volcanic rock, typical of Sicily.

Upon arriving at the Ossena Waterfall, we will pause to enjoy a picnic and recharge for the return journey. Participants can also take a refreshing dip in the tranquil waters at the base of the falls. Remember to capture the scenic views with photographs!

The return trip will take another 4 to 5 hours to reach the starting point.
