On this tour of Pompeii, we'll visit the Roman ruins of the city buried for 1,700 years by Mount Vesuvius.
Description
We'll depart from the selected meeting point towards Pompeii. Upon arrival, a complete tour of the ruins will commence, focusing on the events of 79 AD, when Vesuvius erupted, impacting Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii.
The tour will include the exploration of the city buried under ash and pumice rock, showcasing the Roman baths, bakeries, forum, House of the Vetti, and the lupanar, known for its frescoes of erotic scenes. Visitors will also see recent discoveries from excavations, including statues, skeletons, and tools left by inhabitants.
The guided tour lasts 3 hours, after which free time will be given for lunch at a local restaurant. The full tour concludes with a return to the starting point after a total of 10 hours of sightseeing.
