Tour Overview
Our journey starts at the designated meeting point as we head to Pompeii, the once-thriving Roman city buried by volcanic fury. Prepare yourself for an immersive discovery of its past.
Upon our arrival, we'll embark on a thorough exploration of the iconic ruins of Pompeii. Our excursion will transport us back to the pivotal moment of August 24, 79 AD, when Emperor Titus received alarming reports of Vesuvius’ eruption, which devastated Herculaneum, Stabiae, and, notably, Pompeii.
As we wander through the remnants of this buried city, we'll uncover insights into daily life before the cataclysm. Key sights will include the well-preserved Roman baths, bustling bakeries, the forum, the elegant House of the Vetti, and the intriguing lupanar, adorned with frescoes of diverse scenes.
Additionally, we’ll view some of the latest archaeological finds, including statues, skeletons, and tools utilized by the locals, all preserved in time by the volcanic ash that engulfed them.
After an exhaustive three-hour guided tour through Pompeii, you will have some free time to savor a delightful meal at a nearby restaurant. We will conclude our exploration and return to our original meeting point after a comprehensive 10-hour experience.
