Pompeii Tour

On this tour of Pompeii, we'll visit the Roman ruins of a city buried for 1,700 years by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, an essential experience in Campania.

Tour Details

We'll depart from the selected meeting point towards Pompeii, the city buried by the wrath of Vesuvius. Upon arrival, we'll conduct a complete tour of the ruins, going back to 79 AD, specifically to August 24, the day Emperor Titus received the news of the eruption affecting Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii.

We'll explore the remains buried under ash and pumice for 1,700 years and learn about life before the eruption. Highlights include the Roman baths, bakeries, the forum, the House of the Vetti, and the famous lupanar adorned with frescoes.

We will also view recent discoveries like statues, skeletons, and tools used by Pompeii's inhabitants. Following a 3-hour guided tour, you will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant. The tour concludes with a return to the starting point after 10 hours of sightseeing.
