On this tour of Pompeii, we'll explore the Roman ruins buried for 1,700 years by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
Tour Details
The tour departs from the selected meeting point towards Pompeii. We will explore the ruins and uncover the history of this city buried since the eruption on August 24, 79 AD, when Emperor Titus received the news of the disaster affecting Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii.
We will visit various sites such as the Roman baths, bakeries, the forum, the House of the Vetti, and the lupanar with its frescoes. Additionally, we will see recent discoveries, including statues, skeletons, and tools used by Pompeii's inhabitants, preserved in volcanic ash.
After a 3-hour guided tour, you'll have free time for lunch in a local restaurant. The tour concludes with a return to the starting point after 10 hours of sightseeing.
