On this bike tour through the centre of Lima, we'll explore essential parts of the city on a cycling route featuring its notable architecture, including charming balconies. The route starts and ends in Miraflores, a popular district.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at Avenida Arequipa to pick up our bikes and helmets. From here, we'll cycle along the palm trees of this street, appreciating the colonial architecture.
We'll proceed to Bosque El Olivar, an old hacienda of the viceroyalty with a protected area of 10 hectares (25 acres), where different species of birds can be seen in their natural habitat.
During the tour, we'll pass by the National Stadium of Peru and the Lima Museum of Art (MALI). We'll stop at Plaza San Martín Square to learn about the history of one of Lima's notable public spaces.
Next, we'll stroll along the streets of Jiron de la Union, Jiron Ica, and Ucayali to observe the famous balconies of Lima. We'll also visit the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco, known for its catacombs.
The final stop will be Plaza de Armas, home to the Government Palace, Cathedral, and Municipal Palace. We'll conclude with a coffee or chocolate before returning to the starting point, completing the tour in a total of 4 hours.
