When booking, you can choose between different options for a gastronomic tour of Lima, which include tastings and an English-speaking guide. Below are the details of each tour:

Tour of the historic centre of Lima

In the morning, we will meet in Miraflores next to Cafeteria Terrua to begin our food tour. We will discuss the role of coffee in Peruvian society and its historical significance, followed by a coffee tasting. After this, we will take the metro to the historic centre of Lima, starting at Central Market and Chinatown, where we will sample small recipes that combine Chinese and Peruvian cuisine, along with traditional desserts and "chicha morada," made from purple corn.

Next, we will visit iconic locations like the Palacio de Congresos and San Francisco Church, before stopping at Taberna Cordano to taste Peruvian churros and stuffed potatoes, accompanied by a Pisco Sour. The tour will conclude with a return to the Miraflores neighbourhood.

Miraflores & Surquillo Tour

We will meet in the morning at Cafeteria Terrua in Miraflores to start our food tour with a coffee tasting and discussion of its importance in Peru. We will then visit Surquillo Market to taste Peruvian fruits such as lucuma, followed by a visit to a local pastry shop for dessert sampling.

Afterward, we will head to La Preferida to enjoy popular Peruvian ceviche and tapas made from seafood and other traditional ingredients, paired with a typical Peruvian drink. To conclude the tour, we will stop at a local café for a churro tasting.
