Mato Grosso do Sul's fauna is diverse, and this night safari activity around the Pantanal in Miranda allows us to discover its nocturnal species.

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time at Fazenda San Francisco. From there, we will travel in a 4x4 to the Pantanal area, aiming to spot various nocturnal animals and mammals under moonlight.

During the tour through the wetland of rice paddies, we will look for owls, which are active at night to watch for predators. If conditions permit, we may also see different types of barn owls and similar birds.

Throughout this night tour of Pantanal, we will learn about these native nocturnal animals. Key topics include their nocturnal habits, diets, and abilities, such as night vision.

We will also attempt to spot various native nocturnal mammals, including the jaguarundi, a feline species found throughout South America.

This night tour will last between 2 and 2.5 hours, concluding with our return to the meeting point.
