Activity Details

We will begin by collecting you from your hotel in Mirissa at the scheduled time, then travel to Udawalawe National Park for a thrilling safari experience!

Boarding a 4x4 vehicle, we will navigate through the stunning landscapes of this protected area, renowned for its abundance of elephants and diverse wildlife. Prepare to observe the Asian elephants as they roam freely, feeding and quenching their thirst in the expansive meadows of the park. This reserve is home to approximately 500 elephants!

However, elephants aren't the sole residents of this vibrant ecosystem. During our time in Udawalawe, we'll also catch glimpses of deer, wild boar, jackals, and water buffalo! If fortune smiles upon us, we might even witness the elusive leopard, though these majestic cats are primarily nocturnal, making sightings comparatively rare.

As we journey through the park, take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking scenery that defines this renowned reserve in southern Sri Lanka. You'll encounter expansive grassy plains, rolling mountain ranges, and the vital Walawe River, which sustains the area’s wildlife and plant life.

On our return trip to Mirissa, we'll pause at a local eatery, offering you the chance to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Ultimately, we will ensure you are back at your hotel approximately 10 hours after our initial pickup.
