The National Palace, the Ixchel Museum, and other attractions feature in this private tour of Guatemala City, one of Central America's notable destinations.

Tour Details

You will be picked up from your hotel for a memorable private tour of Guatemala City. The journey begins at the Plaza de la Constitución, where the façade of the Guatemala City Cathedral will be highlighted. This neoclassical temple, built in the 18th century, has seen restorations due to the earthquakes of 1917, 1918, and 1976. Inside, the impact of these earthquakes and a historic pipe organ are on display.

Next, the tour continues to the National Palace, showcasing a mix of Neo-Plateresque, Spanish Baroque, and Renaissance architectural styles. Following this, we visit the Civic Centre, significant for its events when Guatemala City was named Ibero-American Capital of Culture in 2015.

Concluding the tour, we will visit the Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Textiles and Clothing, where a collection of typical costumes, ceramics, jewellery, and books will be explored, including a discussion on the huipil.

After 4 hours of sightseeing, you will be returned to your hotel.
