Tour Details

Join us for a fascinating alternative tour of Guatemala City! We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and set off on a bus to explore the capital city highlights.

Our journey begins in Las Majadas, an area known for its Asian community. Next, we'll visit the Kaminaljuyu ruins, an ancient Maya city from 1200 BC, admiring the site from the exterior as we learn about its history and the ceramics and sculptures found there.

After the ruins, we'll stop at the Museo Miraflores to see archaeological pieces collected from the site.

Next, we visit the Cerrito del Carmen, home to a Catholic church that has been rebuilt three times. We'll discuss its history before heading to the historic center of Guatemala City to admire the exterior of the Metropolitan Cathedral and then proceed to the Miraflores Museum for the Maya exhibit.

We'll enjoy traditional Guatemalan cuisine at a local restaurant, accompanied by a drink. Afterward, we'll stroll along 6th Avenue to Plaza Berlín for panoramic views of the mountains and volcanoes. The tour lasts between 7 and 8 hours before concluding back at the starting point.
