Guatemala History Tour

Pickup will be from your hotel in Guatemala City at 8 am, heading to the old colonial town of Guatemala. After approximately an hour, we will arrive in Antigua Guatemala, starting at Central Park. Here, we will visit the Palacio de Los Capitanes Generales, the old city council, and San José Church, the former cathedral.

You will have an opportunity to take a photo at the Fountain of the Mermaids, constructed in 1739. Subsequently, we will visit the Second Cathedral to observe its baroque facade and smooth columns.

We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (not included) before heading to the modern city for a tour around Guatemala City. We will walk down Avenida Las Américas to the city center, viewing governmental buildings such as the Supreme Court, Finance Ministry, city council, and Bank of Guatemala.

The tour concludes at the Plaza Mayor de la Constitución, where the Catedral Metropolitana is located. We will return to hotels in Guatemala City around 5:30 pm.
