Guatemala History Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Guatemala City at 8 am and head to the old colonial town of Guatemala.

After approximately an hour, we'll arrive in the center of Antigua Guatemala. Our first stop will be the Central Park, where we will see the Palacio de Los Capitanes Generales, the old city council, and San José Church. You will have the opportunity to take a photo beside the Fountain of the Mermaids, built in 1739.

Next, we'll visit the Second Cathedral in Antigua Guatemala, known for its baroque facade. We'll stop to sample a traditional dish at a local restaurant (not included), before heading to modern Guatemala City for a tour.

In the modern district, we will walk down Avenida Las Américas to the city center, viewing governmental buildings including the Supreme Court, Finance Ministry, city council, and Bank of Guatemala. The tour concludes at the Plaza Mayor de la Constitución, home to the Catedral Metropolitana.

We will return to the hotels in Guatemala City at approximately 5:30 pm.
