Discover Guatemala's indigenous cultures and Mayan traditions on this day trip to San Juan La Laguna with a boat ride on Lake Atitlan.

Lake Atitlan & San Juan La Laguna Boat Trip

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Guatemala City in the morning, heading toward the Guatemalan Highlands and Panajachel, the largest town on Lake Atitlán's shores. After approximately a 3-hour drive, we arrive in Panajachel for a guided tour, visiting key attractions such as Santander Street and its church. We then board a boat for a tranquil cruise across Lake Atitlán, known for its scenic beauty.

During the boat trip, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the three volcanoes: Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro. The guide will provide information about the region.

We'll disembark in San Juan La Laguna, where you can learn about community life by participating in handicraft workshops focusing on chocolate, textiles, and medicinal plants. After experiencing these workshops and exploring the village, we return by boat to Panajachel. Here, you can enjoy a typical Guatemalan meal and have free time to explore the town.

The return journey to Guatemala City takes approximately 12.5 hours.
