Have you ever wished to find yourself in the presence of an active volcano? Now is the perfect opportunity! Join us on this adventure from Guatemala City, where we will ascend the Pacaya Volcano and uncover its natural wonders in Central America.

Pacaya Volcano Exploration

At the designated time, we will collect you from the meeting location in Guatemala City and embark on our journey to Pacaya National Park, situated roughly an hour and a half away.

Upon reaching the starting point in San Vicente de Pacaya, we will commence our ascent of Pacaya Volcano. Throughout the hike, we will navigate through picturesque pine forests and witness views of the volcano's smoking sulfuric peak, where we may get a glimpse of minor lava eruptions!

From the slopes, we will also relish stunning vistas of the Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango volcanoes. The scenery extends to the Pacific lowlands, offering expansive perspectives toward El Salvador, alongside captivating panoramic sights of Guatemala City and Lake Amatitlan.

While appreciating the breathtaking views, we will take a moment for lunch with the picnic that each participant has prepared. Don’t forget to bring your meal! Following our break, we will make our way back down to the volcano's base. Finally, we will return to the meeting points in Guatemala City, arriving approximately eight hours after our initial pickup.
