Details of the 3-Day Tour

Day 1

We will begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Guatemala City at the scheduled time, embarking on a journey towards Cobán.

On route, we will pause to explore the Quetzal Refuge, where you'll have the chance to observe the national bird of Guatemala. Our guide will share fascinating insights about its striking plumage and lifestyle. You will also appreciate the vibrant flora and fauna of the cloud forest.

After our visit concludes, we will transport you to your lodging in Cobán for the next two nights. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to wander through the 19th-century El Calvario church, the Cathedral, La Paz Park, and other significant landmarks. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we will travel in a 4x4 vehicle towards Semuc Champey, arriving in approximately two hours.

Embark on a hike through the Tropical Forest of Semuc Champey that will lead us to a viewpoint. Here, you will be treated to stunning views of the Cahabón River and the beautiful natural pools. Feel free to take a refreshing swim!

Once you’ve dried off, we will enjoy a picnic in the great outdoors before exploring the enchanting Lanquín caves. After an exciting day, we will return you to your hotel in Cobán for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3

Welcome to the final day of our tour! We'll dedicate this time to our return journey to Guatemala City, but not before we visit the Rey Marcos Caves for an engaging adventure with nature.

As we navigate through the caves, you will marvel at the unique formations shaped by minerals in the limestone of the Alta Verapaz region.

Before concluding our tour, we will make a stop for lunch and allow for some relaxation midway through the trip.

Your tour will wrap up as we drop you off at your hotel around 5 pm.

Accommodation for the Tour

The tour includes accommodations for two nights in a double or triple room at the Park Hotel Resort in Cobán (four stars). Children aged 3 to 11 will share the room with their parents or guardians, utilizing an extra bed.
