On this excursion to Sololá and Lake Atitlán, we'll take a tour of Guatemalan tradition and folklore and visit a typical market!

Sololá & Lake Atitlán Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guatemala City at 7 am and drive to Sololá, a key city in the country.

This municipality is one of the few in the Guatemalan highlands where the people wear traditional clothing. Here, we will learn about the significance of this attire.

Following a brief city tour, we will visit the Sololá market. Among its craft stalls, we will observe the daily and commercial life of the town and explore its narrow streets. We will also sample Guatemalan cuisine with a typical lunch that consists of a starter, a main course, and a dessert.

Sololá is adjacent to Lake Atitlán, home to 12 communities of Indigenous Peoples, descendants of the Quiché, Kaqchikel, and Tzutuhil tribes. We will admire this natural wonder and experience Guatemalan folklore.

Finally, we will return to Guatemala City and drop you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
