On this guided visit to Modena, we'll discover the city's most emblematic monuments in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Modena Guided Tour

We'll meet in Piazza Grande and start our tour of Modena and its historic downtown area. Our first stop is in front of the Modena Cathedral, a notable example of Roman architecture. We'll admire its facade and focus on the Ghirlandina Tower, a symbol of Modena. Accompanied by our guide, we'll learn details about these monuments, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997.

Next, we'll stroll the historic downtown streets while learning about the city's past. Piazza Roma showcases the city's history, particularly the Ducal Palace, which is also home to Modena's Military Academy.

The city is rich in legends. Throughout our tour, we'll discuss the significance of vinegar in Modena's culture, its connection to Duke Francis V of Habsburg-East, and the local admiration for Luciano Pavarotti.

After 1.5 hours exploring the city's historic streets, we'll return to the starting point and conclude our tour.
