Discover the beauty of south Kenya with this trip to Wasini Island from Mombasa, including swimming with dolphins and snorkelling.

Swim with Dolphins at Wasini Island

After hotel pickup in Mombasa, we will travel to the south of the county, stopping at the coastal town of Shimoni to visit the Shimoni Slave Caves. After this visit, we will proceed to the port and set sail on a traditional Kenyan boat in the Indian Ocean, adjacent to Wasini Island, near the Kisite-Mpunguti National Park. Here, you will have the opportunity to snorkel in the clear waters, where you may encounter dolphins while swimming respectfully in their habitat.

Participants will spend two hours swimming and snorkelling under the guidance of expert instructors, followed by a visit to Wasini Island for a local lunch at a restaurant with sea views.

After lunch, a walking tour of Wasini Island will provide insights into the island’s culture, history, and lifestyle. The tour concludes with a return sail to the port in Shimoni and back to Mombasa.
