On this guided tour of Monforte d'Alba, we'll learn about the history of Cuneo, one of the provinces in the Piedmont region.
Tour Description
We will start the guided tour of Monforte d'Alba from the Tourist Office at 3 Via della Chiesa. The tour explores one of the villages in the Langhe, located south and east of the Tanaro River.
Our first stop will be the Chiesa della Madonna della Neve, established in the early 20th Century. We will then proceed to Piazza Umberto I, the town's social and commercial hub, followed by a visit to the Martina Museum, which honors a Savoy army colonel.
After the museum, we will explore the medieval part of Monforte d'Alba. During our walk through the streets of Saracca, we will discuss the Cathars. Next, we’ll stop at Piazza della Vecchia Chiesa to see the Oratorio di Sant'Agostino and the Clock Tower.
We will visit the open-air amphitheatre of Horschowski, the venue for the Monforte Jazz Festival held every July, and the Big Bench #12 for photo opportunities. The tour will conclude at the Alberto Scarampi del Cairo lookout point after an hour.

Please note that the Martina Museum may close for private events.
