Truffle-Hunting Tour

Join us to hunt for truffles in Monforte d'Alba, a countryside town in Cuneo, where truffles are a local specialty. Learn about truffles and observe truffle-hunting dogs in action.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we will meet in front of the Monforte d'Alba Town Hall. You will follow the tour guide in your vehicle to the forest for your truffle-hunting adventure. Prepare to discover the secrets of the truffle, a renowned regional product.

Upon arrival, we will meet the truffle expert, who will guide us and provide insights into truffle hunting. You will observe the expert's work closely and watch the specially trained truffle-hunting dogs as they search for these prized mushrooms. We will then head into the mountains with our expert and their dogs for the hunt.

We will participate in a simulated activity, where the expert has previously hidden truffles to demonstrate the truffle-hunting process. However, there is a possibility of finding organically grown truffles that are not artificially planted due to the area's truffle abundance.

After this hour-and-a-half hunting session, you will return to your vehicle, concluding your truffle-hunting experience.
