On this gozzo tour of the Polignano a Mare caves, we'll explore the sea caves in the coastal city of Pulia.
Tour Details
We'll meet at Molo Regina Margherita in Monopoli at the designated time and board a motorised gozzo, a traditional Italian fishing boat, to set sail and explore Pulia's coastline.
We will sail towards Polignano a Mare, known for its rocky cliffs and clear waters that conceal sea caves. Our first stops will be at Grotta Palazzese, which has an exclusive restaurant inside, and Lama Monachile, a natural cove with a pebbled beach, famous for hosting Red Bull Cliff Diving events.
Next, we will visit Ermitaño Island or Isola dell'Ermita, home to the Audouin's gull, followed by Grotta degli Innamorati (Lovers Cave), known for its romantic scenery.
We'll also pass by Grotta Ardito, one of the coastal treasures. During the tour, we'll stop for a refreshing swim in Polignano a Mare's turquoise waters.
Aboard, we will toast with a glass of prosecco and enjoy traditional culinary products from Pulia, such as taralli and focaccia barese. The tour will conclude with a return to the initial port after 2.5 hours of sailing.
