Monopoli Bike Tour

We will meet at the Info Point Sala dei Pescatori to distribute bikes and helmets for the Monopoli bike tour. This tour covers the historic centre of Monopoli, known for its main monuments including the basilica of the Madonna della Madia.

The tour will then proceed from the old town into the rural countryside of Apulia. We will ride along roads flanked by dry stone walls and fields of olive and carob trees, experiencing the atmosphere of southern Italy.

Throughout the bike tour, participants will see farms, oil mills, and cave churches, including the Romanesque church of the Holy Spirit, which features medieval frescoes. The tour lasts for 3 hours, after which we will return to the starting point in Monopoli to conclude the experience.

Children under 14 and individuals weighing less than 45 kg (30 lbs) are not permitted to participate in this tour.
