We'll meet at 2 pm in Piazza Guglielmo II. Ready to discover the cultural diversity of this town influenced by Arab and Norman heritage?
We'll start by visiting the Norman Cathedral of Monreale, known as the Duomo di Monreale. This building exemplifies the fusion between Arab and Norman art and architecture.
We'll explore the history of the Old and New Testament through the Cathedral, stopping to admire the colourful mosaics that adorn its walls.
We'll also enter the ancient Benedictine monastery and cloister adjacent to the Cathedral. After hearing stories of this medieval structure, we'll head to the nearby belvedere overlooking the valley filled with orange and citrus trees.
After two hours of discovering Monreale, our tour will conclude.
