Montalcino Wine Tasting

Welcome to Castello Tricerchi! At the time of your choice, we'll head to this medieval mansion located just 10 km from the center of Montalcino. Accompanied by a guide, we'll walk through the surrounding vineyards and then enter the building to enjoy a tasting of Tuscan wines.

Inside, we'll discover the origins of this 15th-century building, which belonged to one of the most powerful families in Siena. While we learn about its history, we'll visit the barrel room and uncover secrets of wine production.

We'll discuss the methods and techniques of Montalcino wine production and learn to distinguish grape varieties, such as Sangiovese, prevalent in this area of Italy.

Next, we'll move to the tasting room for a sample of 3 different wines, including the famous Brunello di Montalcino. Following the sommelier’s guidance, we’ll extract nuances from each glass, pairing the tasting with ciaccino, a type of focaccia from Siena.

After a 1.5-hour visit, we'll conclude the activity with a goodbye outside the winery.
