Always wanted to taste the wine of Montalcino? With this activity, you'll visit an old medieval winery and discover the secrets of the production of exquisite wines from Italian Tuscany.

Welcome to Castello Tricerchi! At the time of your choice, we will visit this medieval mansion, located just 10 km from the center of Montalcino. Accompanied by a guide, we will walk through the surrounding vineyards and enter the building for a tasting of Tuscan wines.

Inside, we will learn about the history of this 15th-century building, which belonged to a powerful family in Siena. We will visit the barrel room and uncover the secrets of the wine made here.

We will discuss the methods and techniques of Montalcino wine production and learn to distinguish grape varieties, including Sangiovese, a popular grape in this region.

Next, we'll proceed to the tasting room to enjoy a sample of 3 different wines, including the famous Brunello di Montalcino. Following the sommelier's instructions, we will explore the nuances of each glass, pairing the tasting with ciaccino, a type of focaccia from Siena.

After a 1.5-hour visit, we will conclude the activity outside the winery.
