On this trip to El Tigre Waterfalls, we'll explore Monteverde's wild side with a day of hiking, horseriding, and ziplining.
Tour Options
During booking, you can choose between two options. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, an admission ticket to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch. Each option lasts 5 hours. Here are the details:
Hiking & Horseriding
Upon arrival at El Tigre Waterfalls, we'll explain access to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve hiking trail. The hike covers the first 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), where you'll meet your guide, traverse several hanging bridges, and stop at 4 waterfalls (15 to 30 metres high) for a dip in the natural pools.
Following the hike, we will ride horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to the summit, reaching a viewpoint with scenic views of Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles. Bring your cameras!
Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline
This option includes the same hike and horse ride as above, followed by the El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. You'll don zipline equipment and pedal a bicycle on zipline cables over 70 metres high (230 feet). This 500-metre (0.3-mile) ride offers stunning views of the cloud forest and waterfalls.
