On this trip to El Tigre Waterfalls, we'll explore Monteverde's wild side with hiking, horseriding, and ziplining.
Tour Options
When booking, you can choose between two options. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, an admission ticket to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch, and they last 5 hours. Here are the options:
Hiking & Horseriding
Upon arrival at El Tigre Waterfalls, we will provide instructions for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve hiking trail. The first part includes a hike of 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), where you will cross several hanging bridges and stop at 4 waterfalls of 15 to 30 metres high (50-98 feet), with opportunities to swim in natural pools. Following the hike, we will ride horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to a viewpoint with scenic views of volcanoes: Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles.
Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline
This option includes the same hike and horse ride, followed by a trip to El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. You will wear zipline equipment and pedal on a bicycle that moves along zipline cables over 70 metres high (230 feet) for a 500-metre (0.3-mile) ride, enjoying views of the cloud forest and waterfalls.
