Activity Choices

When reserving, you'll be presented with two distinct options. Both choices feature hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, admission to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch. Each option spans a duration of 5 hours. Below are the available selections:

Hiking & Horseriding

Upon arrival at El Tigre Waterfalls, your guide will provide directions to the hiking trail of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Are you ready to discover this area characterized by lush greenery and delightful waterfalls? Let's set off!

During the initial 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), you'll be accompanied by your guide as you traverse multiple hanging bridges nestled among vibrant trees and hills. We will pause at 4 stunning waterfalls, each ranging from 15 to 30 metres high (50-98 feet), where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pools. A perfect way to cool off!

Following this, we will mount our horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to reach the summit. Enjoy a serene horseback ride through the richly forested terrain, culminating at a viewpoint featuring breathtaking vistas of the nearby volcanoes: Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles. Be sure to have your cameras ready!

Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline

Opting for this package includes the same hiking and horseback riding experience as the previous choice, followed by an exhilarating visit to the El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. Pedaling through the treetops will feel like stepping into a film!

We will don ziplining gear and ascend to the platform where a bicycle awaits. Here, we'll begin our descent, pedaling along zipline cables suspended over 70 metres high (230 feet). Prepare for spectacular views of the misty forest and waterfalls during this 500-metre (0.3-mile) journey.

This adventure includes hotel pickup for participants residing in the center of Monteverde and Santa Elena.
