Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is unique among other rainforests in Costa Rica, as it is in a constant cloud at an altitude of 1,600 metres (5,250 feet). The humidity provides cloud-like cover. Wildlife sightings may include monkeys, coaties, hummingbirds, and possibly the quetzal. Binoculars and a telescope are available for use during the hike. The route encompasses around 9 hikes in the reserve, with notable views at La Ventana viewpoint, where you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans simultaneously.
