Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is unique among other rainforests in Costa Rica, as it's in a constant cloud at 1,600 metres (5,250 feet) above sea level. The high humidity provides cloud-like cover.

During the walk, a guide will explain the fauna and flora of this ecosystem, which has some of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. You may see monkeys, coatis, hummingbirds, and possibly the famous quetzal. Binoculars and a telescope will be provided for animal observation.

The route will cover around 9 hikes in the reserve, with La Ventana viewpoint being a highlight where you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans simultaneously.

Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve

This option involves exploring Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, located on the Tilarán mountain range bordering the Monteverde conservation site. It encompasses more than 300 hectares (741 acres) of cloud forest, where you can observe hundreds of species of plants and animals, including spider monkeys and sloths.
