Night Hike in Oktari Monteverde

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet 200 m (656 ft) north of the Bon Appetit restaurant. From this point, we'll begin our adventure through Oktari Monteverde, a private reserve near Santa Elena, ideal for observing wildlife.

We'll start our hike on a path bordered by lush vegetation, where the atmosphere changes as night falls. The tour will involve natural trails with no steps, featuring moss-coveredsprings, and up to four bridges for observing nocturnal fauna.

Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the cloud forest ecosystem and its inhabitants, including bioluminescent insects, tree frogs, armadillos, and possibly a sloth or kinkajou in the trees—a true nighttime adventure!

We will return to the starting point after a two-hour tour through the Costa Rican jungle.
