Lucca and Pisa are two key destinations in Tuscany. This excursion offers a historical exploration of both cities in one day.
Lucca and Pisa Day Trip Itinerary
After pickup at the meeting point, we will travel by bus to Pisa, where the guided tour of the historic center begins. Highlights include the Piazza dei Miracoli with key monuments such as St. John's Baptistry, the cemetery, the Cathedral, and the iconic leaning tower. Time will be provided for exploring Pisa or climbing the tower.
Following the Pisa visit, we will travel to Lucca, famous for its intact medieval wall and historic center. Lucca was an independent republic for 50 years. The guided tour will cover Amphitheatre Square, Giunigi Tower, and San Martino Cathedral.
Before returning to Montecatini, we will sample the Buccellato, a traditional sweet treat from Lucca made with almond-filled dough.
