Montepulciano & Pienza Tour

The tour begins at the scheduled time in Montepulciano's Piazza Grande. Here, we will admire the Santa Assunta Cathedral, Palazzo Comunale, and the Well of the Griffins and Lions. We will stroll through Renaissance palaces until reaching the Madonna di San Biagio Sanctuary, discussing its significance in Tuscan Renaissance architecture.

We will visit an underground cellar for a tasting of the local Montepulciano Vino Nobile wine, one of Italy's oldest wines.

Afterwards, a minibus will take us through the Orcia Valley to Pienza, recognized as an ideal Renaissance town. We will walk the UNESCO-protected historic centre where we will see the Pienza Cathedral, Piccolomini and Borgia palaces, among other sites. The tour will also include a tasting of pecorino cheese.

The tour concludes upon returning to the starting point after a duration of 3 hours.
