Pecorino Cheese and Wine Tour

The tour meets at 1 pm in the Montepulciano piazza Grande, where participants will board the minibus to begin the tour.

Traveling through the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the first stop is a cheesemaker in the Pienza region, known for its renowned pecorino cheese. Here, visitors will learn about the artisans and the production process, from sheep care to cheese tasting, including a sampling of different types of pecorino.

The next destination is a winery in Montepulciano, famous for its nobile wine, a protected denomination exclusive to this region. Participants will explore the winery and its aging process, followed by a tasting of nobile wine alongside another variety for comparison.

The tour concludes back at the starting point at 4 pm.
