Pecorino Cheese and Wine Tour

The tour meets at 1 pm in the Montepulciano piazza Grande, where you will be welcomed aboard the minibus to begin the tour.

You will cross the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and arrive at a cheesemaker in the Pienza region, known for one of the most famous varieties of pecorino cheese in Italy.

During the visit, you will learn about the artisans dedicated to the production of this Tuscan delicacy. Every step, from caring for the sheep to the production process, will be explored, including a tasting to differentiate the various types of pecorino.

Next, you will visit a winery in Montepulciano. Here, you'll discover nobile wine, a protected denomination unique to this region and one of Italy's oldest varieties. You will explore the winery where the wine is made and aged, followed by tastings of this wine and another variety for comparison.

The tour concludes at the start point at 4 pm.
