We will meet in front of the Palacio Municipal de Monterrey at the designated time to begin our free tour. Prepare to explore the fascinating capital in Nuevo León.
The tour will start with a visit to the Monterrey Cathedral, a historically significant space. Following this, we will head to the Macroplaza, the fourth largest square globally, covering 98.84 acres (40 hectares), where ancient monuments, colonial buildings, and fountains can be admired.
Next, we will visit the Barrio Antiguo, known for its bohemian atmosphere, fashion, art, culture, and culinary diversity. It is an iconic area for leisure and ambiance.
Our walking tour continues past important museums' exteriors, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey, Museo del Noreste, and Mexican History Museum. While we will not enter these sites, information regarding their collections and exhibitions will be provided, inspiring potential future visits.
We will conclude this 2-hour free tour at Paseo Santa Lucía, an artificial canal and the longest artificial river in Latin America, spanning 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers) and favored by locals.
