At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Palacio Municipal de Monterrey to begin our free tour. Ready to explore the fascinating capital in Nuevo León? Let's go!
First, we'll visit the Monterrey Cathedral, a sacred space filled with history. We'll also head to the Macroplaza, the fourth largest square in the world, spanning 98.84 acres (40 hectares), where you'll admire ancient monuments, colonial buildings, and fountains.
Our tour will then take us to the Barrio Antiguo, known for its fashion, art, culture, and nightlife. This neighborhood offers a variety of culinary dishes and leisure spaces.
We'll continue our walking tour passing by the exterior of important museums, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey, the Museo del Noreste, and the Mexican History Museum. Although we won't enter these sites, we'll provide details about their collections and exhibitions.
Finally, we'll finish this 2-hour free tour at Paseo Santa Lucía, an artificial canal and a favorite spot for locals, spanning 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers), the longest artificial river in Latin America.
