Enjoy sampling the delicious taste of Uruguayan wine with this Bodega Bouza Tour. Discover how this drink is made, from the vineyard to the bottle, and taste several different varieties.

Bodega Bouza Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Montevideo at the scheduled time and head northwest towards our destination. The trip will take us approximately 1 hour.

On arrival, we'll take a 45-minute guided tour inside the winery and its grounds. The guide will explain the winemaking process and concepts such as pigeage, de-stemming, and malolactic fermentation.

We'll also visit the underground caves where the ageing process takes place, lasting between 6 and 18 months.

At the end of our visit to the Bouza Winery, we'll enjoy either a full lunch with wine pairing or a wine tasting with appetizers, depending on your choice.

Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Montevideo.

Tasting with Aperitif or Lunch

When making your booking, choose between a tour that includes a tasting of 4 wines (3 whites and 1 red) with a cheeseboard, cold meats, and empanadas, or the lunch option. The lunch includes 2 courses with a glass of wine each, dessert, water, coffee or tea, and a liqueur. A possible lunch menu includes:

First course: leek roti, chef's salad, or grilled prawns, served with Riesling 2020, Chardonnay 2021, or Merlot Tannat 2019.Main course: Bouza baby beef, lamb with ratatouille, grilled salmon, or vegetable stuffed sorrentinos, paired with Monte Vide Eu 2019, Tempranillo Tannat 2020, or Tannat B26 2019.Dessert: ice cream, dulce de leche volcano, flan, or caramelised apple tart with ice cream.

During the booking process, select your visit time. Timetables for each type of visit are as follows:

The tasting lasts 30 minutes, while lunch with pairing lasts about two hours. All options include a 45-minute guided tour of the winery.
