Day Trip to Colonia del Sacramento

On this day trip to Colonia del Sacramento from Montevideo, you'll travel by bus with the Buquebus company. You can choose between a guided tour or bike rental, as well as visiting the Bull Ring or opting to stay overnight at a hotel.

Tour Details

We'll meet at the Buquebus ticket desk in the Tres Cruces Terminal in Montevideo at the designated time. After a road trip of approximately 2 hours, we'll arrive at the Buquebus terminal at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier.

You can enjoy the activities included in your booking, depending on the selected tour option. At 7:15 pm, you will return to the Buquebus terminal for the bus back to Montevideo's Tres Cruces Terminal, concluding the day trip after approximately 15 hours.

Tour Options

Choose from the following options when booking:

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus & Bull Ring

Upon arrival, you'll board the city’s sightseeing bus for a journey with 10 stops lasting 50 minutes, starting at the old town's intersection of Ituzaingó Street and Arquitecto Miguel Ángel Odriozola Street. You can hop on and off the bus as many times as you wish. A guided tour of approximately 50 minutes is included, running daily at 11 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm, visiting sites like Calle de los Suspiros. A ticket to the Bull Ring is also included, open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6:30 pm.

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus, Bull Ring & Lunch

This option includes the same elements as above but adds lunch at El Refugio in the old town, open daily from 12 pm to 4 pm, with a menu that includes a starter, main dish, and dessert (drinks not included).

Transport + Bike Rental

This option provides a bike for riding around after arriving at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier, with bike return required before the bus departs back to Montevideo.

Transport, Tour, Sightseeing Bus & One Night's Accommodation

Similar to the first option, but includes one night's accommodation at a 4-star hotel (Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia or similar). The next day, a transfer will take you back to the pier for your bus return to Montevideo. The hotel stay covers accommodation only; meals are not included. Prices are per person in a double room.
