Why see the Montevideo Carnival?

We'll meet at the entrance of Tablado Primero de Mayo, the venue for the Montevideo Carnival show. The Montevideo Carnival is one of the world's longest, lasting about 40 consecutive nights. This event brings life and color to Uruguay's capital.

During the show, performances will include 5 categories of artistic groups: murgas (musical theater-like), comedians, parodists, revistas (dancers), and comparsas (street performers). These groups perform at tablados, integral to the carnival's heritage since the early 20th century.

We will experience between 3 and 6 different shows, in Spanish, outside tourist areas, offering an authentic glimpse into local carnival culture.

The event will last between 3-5 hours.

When purchasing a ticket for the Montevideo Carnival, you can choose from the following options:

Grandstand: The most affordable option, with seats farther from the stage.Stalls: Seats between the grandstand and front row, unnumbered and first-come, first-served.Front Row Table (6 People): Premium seating in the front row with assigned numbered tickets.
