Montevideo: Private Wine Tour + Tasting

Join our private vineyards and wineries tour departing from Montevideo to explore Uruguayan wine in an exclusive setting.

Description

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Montevideo at the designated time and head to the vineyards on the outskirts of Uruguay's capital.

Our journey includes visits to the Canelones wine region, focusing on the cultivation of the Tannat grape. Stops will be made at various vineyards to learn about the cultivation process.

We will visit a winery from the early 20th century, subject to availability and season, where you will discover and sample the best local wines.

The winery tour will conclude with a tasting of cheese, cured ham, and empanadas—excellent pairings for the wines.

After the tasting, we will return to Montevideo, arriving at your hotel approximately four and a half hours after pickup.

Optional lunch add-on

If you choose this option, after the tasting, enjoy a delicious Uruguayan lunch at the winery's restaurant with a traditional barbecue.

We will then return to Montevideo, with an arrival time of about five and a half hours after pickup.
